TILE FLOOR IS ALMOST DONE!

As per requests we have decided to go public with our demi-renovated kitchen. The paint, cabinets, and counters remain old and crusty. But at least when we walk upon the floor our feet are tickled by the Egyptian tile. This must be what the Pharoahs felt as they gazed upon their glorious temples. We have done them proud. Dan's tiling services can be booked through our e mail. Even if you don't want to tile your house please do so and pay us.

Mischief

I thought I should blog some pics before we leave for Cali this Sat as I won't be blogging for awhile. We head out Sat to Cali until Tuesday then we leave for Hawaii for 9 days then back to Cali where Melia and I will stay for 5 days to visit longer. I am excited to get out of this crazy heat. It has been over 100 degrees all week. We went to the State Park last week end so we could play in the river. Melia loved it and played for about 2 hours. She loves the water and dogs. She was chasing all the dogs around. I, of course, forgot my camera.
These are just pics of my little one getting into mischief. She loves to put Daddy's hats on him and then her own little head. She seems to proud to walk around with a huge hat on her head. Sily thing.
So I am thrilled to go back to Hawaii. I have a feeling it will be pretty tough to leave, though. I think Melia is going to love the beach. I can't wait to see her playing in the sand. Karyn, can you believe Nash was only 7 months when you first came to Hawaii?? Crazy. I think Dan is going to do great in this race. I have never seen him run so much...ever! And swim! He is actually training for this race! I will take plenty of pictures while we are there. There is just a certain feeling when you are in Hawaii that you don't feel anywhere else. Well Fiji you feel it. It's just an island thing, I guess. I miss it so much. Island way of life. Nice and slow, right? So Melia likes to fit into any compact small spot like this hamper. I think she watches Keesa too much and tries to fit into little places. She was having fun in this for awhile.
Then she took a nasty spill! Well I hope everyone is having a great week! I will try to post some more before we leave but we'll see. I am also going to try to pack the night before but we'll see on that, too!

Little update

These were taken last Sunday before church. I just thought they were cute of Melia in her little dress. We have had a pretty goood week. Well ther other night Melia was having a tough time going to sleep and finally at almost midnight I take her out of her crib and she falls asleep on me in my bed. It was so sweet until she woke up throwing up all over me and the bed! But right after that she was very happy and went to sleep in her crib. But then around 4 a.m. we were awakened by super loud thunder and the house was being lit up by lightning. Melia was whimpering her her room sitting up waiting for us. So once again she came into bed with us and feel asleep with me again! She never does this so I was so happy. But eventually she went back to her own room. We have had some crazy storms the last few nights. I love them.
I had a doc appt yesterday. I am almost out of my first trimester and was given the ok to start running again so I am so excited!! Everything else looks ok so that's cool! Dan is almost done with tiling our kitchen floor. It is looking so good and I can't wait for it to be done.
Melia says no now. But she says it many times in a row. She doesn't like when Keesa is on the window ledge so she will run over saying "no, no,no,no,no,no" then pushes her off. At Big Top Kids (indoor play place) yesterday she was telling other kids no, no, no, no then taking their toys. Hmmmm...not good. It's actually really cute to hear her say that. She talks non stop!!! It's hilarious. I love it. Can't wait until I can understand what she is saying!!
Always running away!!

The pool

It has been about 100 degrees here everyday and it is HOT! I hate it. I really do. No breeze. Just heat. Unless you are living by a beach or in Fiji in the water then there is no reason to be subjected to this weather. That is my opinion. Now that that is out of the way...I got Melia (and Dan) a little kiddie pool the other day. She loves the water and I wanted her to really get use to it before she gets some lessons from Uncle Mike in a few weeks. She LOVES her pool. Her new extremely happy face is the last pic. She scrunches her face up and smiles so hard. We play in it every evening before her bath and it is great b/c it really tires her out which is hard to do!!

More silly Peanut pics

My sweet Peanut loves her clothes! She loves to take her clothes out of her drawers and bring them to the living room. She also is very interested in trying to put them on. In the first pic I think she had 3 shirts and one skirt through her arm. Almost there, sweetie!

Random pics

I haven't posted any pics of Melia in awhile so here are some olders ones to get started. These are a few from the zoo. Her hair is all wet b/c she had been playing in the little kiddie river. She would bounce up and down on this then bounce right off and get right back on.

She loves fruit smoothies and here she is sharing one with Daddy!
She doesn't use her highchair anymore unless I am trying to confine her. She likes to climb up onto the table so sometimes I have to strap her in to keep her in her seat. Does she like that?? Not one bit! But now she likes to climb up and down the chair. Just up and down, up and down over and over.

CONGRATS!!!

I just had to blog a BIG congrats to my sis and her husband, Mike. As some of you know they ran a swim school out of their backyard pool for awhile but now their dream of owning their own swim school and having their very own building has come true!! They had an open house all this week and doors open next week for business! I know you have been working SO SO hard and we are so very proud of you. It is rare that people have a dream and go for it and keep going for it even when they are hit with so many roadblocks and obstacles. Karyn and Mike, you went through so much to get to where you are now! I can't wait to see the finished pool and building in a few weeks!! Love you guys tons!
