Change me!!

It is about 1 p.m. and I am going to cry. Melia woke up super early and was so exhausted but she couldn't go back to sleep so I was up. I had been up since 3 a.m. courtesy of Troy's acrobatics being quite uncomfortable. So on our way home from the store Melia falls asleep and i transfer her to her crib where I then hear her playing and jumping up and down. This bums me out b/c I am so tired!! Plus Dan agreed to meet me at the pool so I can swim but if she doesn't nap I know she will have to nap later this afternoon probably around the time we have to leave for the pool. Nice. So enough complaining about being tired and pregnant. Here is Melia's new thing...when her diaper is dirty she marches right up to her room, climbs on the change table, and takes her diaper off. She usually takes a diaper with her and the wipes...so helpful!
Sometimes she doesn't tell me she is going up for a diaper change so when it gets super quiet in the house all of a sudden I know where to look. Yesterday I walked into her room to find her patiently waiting for me on her table. Silly thing.
I am going to start potty training after Troy is born. So Dan and I met with a doula which is a labor coach b/c I decided to have Troy au naturale like I did with Melia. But this time I need help!!! Her name is Tammy and she is super sweet and I think it will be great to have her there. She will help me with my breathing and try to make me as comfortable as possible with different massage techniques and bring me fluids or food or anything I need. Plus she will be helpful in directing Dan what to do. He and I are reading some good books about natural birth...kinda more for Dan on being my coach. I am delivering at Queen's Hospital in Honolulu. It is a super nice hospital...no home births, Libby. :) I don't want to scare Melia! I know I scared my mom with Melia! ha ha So we'll see how it goes. On another note I am so excited about Christmas!!

OK...so labour coach...that makes sense now. I kind of had that with Drew and it definietly helped me get through that natural birth! I've thought about it for my next baby...I think you need that if you decide natural since it's so intense!

She is such a smarty. She'll be helping you change Troy's diaper before you know it!

Why does everyone think doula is so funny sounding? I can't remember when I first heard it but maybe I laughed too?

OK - I must be a wimp, I was all about the drugs however before the drugs I found my yoga breathing was much more useful then anything I learned in class.

Melia is quite the kid! What a good little girl. I didn't realize you had her at home?! You crazy woman! I would NEVER rule out an epi!
