HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I wanted to give a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout to Nash! His first birthday is today and we wish we could be there so bad! It is a cowboy theme bbq at his Grandma's house in Ramona and it sounds like it will be a blast for everyone!!I know my sis can't believe her little boy is a year...I can't either! We love you NASH!!

One month check and family fun

So this past Wednesday was Melia's one month check-up plus Dr. Gregg wanted to weigh her again to make sure she was gaining weight at a good rate. Well she gained about 7 ounces in 6 days and she was up to 8lbs4oz! I was so happy to hear that! She also grew 1.5 inches and is now at 21.5 inches. She is in the 75th percentile for length and 25th for weight and head but I was thinking would I want her to be in the upper percent for head?? I like her little head. So after her appt we went on in to Kona and walked around the shops by the water and then went to dinner at Outback after which we stopped by some friend's house...the Walters and visited for a bit and they gave Melia some cute present! Then it was off to Hilo! Yesterday we had a nice day out. We went to the mall where I got a pedicure while Dan and Melia walked around while waiting. Then we went and saw Blades of Glory...funny! Melia did well in the movie although they turned the volume up super loud so it was startling her a bit. We went to eat at Cafe Pesto then home to watch another movie! It was a good family day and Melia and I enjoyed a day with Daddy. Well I am sick so I feel like blah today. Oh Jeni thanks for the baby sling...Melia loves it...so do I!

Sunday Bread in my basket

Melia didn't want to wear a hat and when Daddy propped her up on the chair and tried to take a picture of her she wasn't too impressed, but look at her ear hat and tell me it wasnt worth it? Melia wanted to come to church so Mommy dressed her in this new spring fashion, its a lavender onesy with a ruffle butt. Melia, so hot right now... Melia
Dan decided that around 5:00pm he would try his luck at baking. He made some 3 grain whole wheat bread. Here he is pounding the dough, and with no previous experience with bread he didnt think he could get it to turn out.
After an hour of rising and 45 minutes of baking, the finished product smelled very delish, but as I write this we are waiting for it to cool down so we can enjoy some awesome toast with honey smothered all over it...mmmmm
Melia saw the bread and was taken aback... wHOA!! WHAT IS THAT SMELL?

Daddy time!

Yesterday I went up to Waimea so Melia could get a weigh in and even though she eats frequently and seems to satisfy herself she hasn't gained much in the last 9 days and her doc wanted to make sure she was gaining enough eveyday and week. She was weighed twice the last time we were there and if the doc went by the lowest weight she only gained about 4 ounces in 9 days. Apparently that is not enough so we will go back next week for another weigh in. Dr. Gregg, who I think is awesome, said not to worry b/c she is strong and looks great and not to change anything. She doesn't eat during the night but maybe once so that could be why she is slow to put on weight too. Anyway that is the updae on that. So when we got home last night it was time with Daddy so here are some pics of little Peanut with her Daddy!

Nap time

Melia and I took a nap together the other day and Dan got some pics of us. I love when she falls asleep on me! The other pics are just of her after eating. She is quite alert lately and likes to just look around and stare! I have so much fun with her! Just love her so much!

Sunday BBQ

Last night we had Casey and Heather Francis and their 4 kids over for bbq. It was fun and Heather and her 2 girls had fun holding Melia. Melia was really good. She was passed around and didn't cry and fell asleep for a little while. Dan grilled some hamburgers and some yummy chicken. Heather's oldest girl is on spring break for 2 weeks and asked if she could come over and hold Melia during the day. Sure! As you can see from the pic Dan really got into grilling and was so excited.

Our week end

We have had a great week end. Friday we went to Cafe Pesto and Melia was great...slept through dinner although she had to eat before went in to the restaurant. Yesterdy and today we have just been relaxing together...all 3 of us. Here are some pics of the week end. Melia usually likes baths but not that day! She usually goes to sleep around midnight and sleeps until 5 or 6 which I think is pretty good! She has an alert time during the day now and she just stares and looks around totally content. I love it! Oh and as you can see Scuppy finally got to hold Melia!

My Peanut's Footsies!

Aren't they so cute....and long!! Melia had a good night last night. She slept from 11 until 5:15 a.m. she ate then went back to sleep for an hour. She then slept with us in our bed for a few hours which was so nice! I love watching her wake up b/c she does makes all these funny faces plus she does a lot of smiling. I am trying to catch it on camera. Yesterday she was awake for like 6 hours straight. It was crazy..during the day! Dan was at work all day so it was kind of a long day for me. She seems to be quite the sleeper today, though! Thanks for the help and encouragement yesterday, sis!! :)

Bouncy Peanut

Here is Melia in her bouncy chair. It plays music and vibrates and she really likes it!! Thanks Cindy! Today has been good. Melia took a long morning nap and has been hanging out with me for awhile now. It is a beautiful day so hopefully we can go out and get some fresh air. We sure miss Nana!! We loved having her here!!

Thursday

I just finished the night holding Melia almost the entire night. She has had some awesome nights lately sleeping almost 8 hours straight, then last night she tricked us with a non-sleep night... She would eat sleep and then 5 minutes later be awake again... Robyn got a little break though, I let her sleep and I took Melia into her room and rocked her for almost the whole night. I loved watching her fall asleep, her head goes back, the binky falls out and she totally relaxes... then her feet start to kick, her arms start to move, and her eyes open... then she cries. I think she has a cute cry though and I couldnt help but just listen to her and let her cry a bit. We did sleep a little, but all in all I think she will have a very nappy day! I really dont mind though, i could stay up all night again tonight if I need to... Only I will have to go rent a new movie... I watched Amelie, last night and that will ferrel movie before that... I forget the name, but its the one where there is a lady narrating his life. his name is Harold Crick? anyways I loved it and thought it was hilarious.
I am off to work now... Will post a few more pics later though.

Saddest face in the world

Here is Peanut over the last few days. I rally wanted to get some good pics of her in the cute little pic dress but she was hungry. I think she made the saddest face in the world! She slept a full night last night so yay! I am sure that won't happen again fo awhile but she is such a sweet little girl. Well She is wakinhg up so gotta go...enjoy! Oh she scratches her face so she that is why she is wearing those socks on her hands!

Happy Girl

Today has been another nice, relaxing day. Dan had his bike race this morning so he and Lynne went to that as she helped out. I had just put Melia back down to sleep so I didn't want to wake her up. It sounds like a lot of people showed up and it was a fun time so I will have to make it for the next one. Dan decided to go with us on a walk but had to cut out early into it. So we have all just been relaxing the rest of the day. These are just some pics of little Peanut after the walk and squirming around on my lap. She is getting more alert everyday and it's so cute to see her looking around and moving her little arms and legs! She is such a content little girl. Peanut is 2 weeks old today!

Nana is back!

Nana is back in Hawaii and we are loving having her here! She arrived yesterday afternoon and this time Melia was there to greet her. We had a relaxing evening last night watching American Idol and Melia slept 6 hours straight! I can actually think straight today...well kind of. It is a beautiful day here. We went on a walk and have just been relaxing at the house.
